Take on a marathon challenge for the Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH)

Over the last few months, our amazing NHS has never been more needed. Whilst coronavirus has changed daily life in so many ways, our Hospital Heroes have been going the extra mile for patients and families, as well as each other. They still are. Whatever challenges come our way, the RUH will never stop being there for us and our loved ones, and so our fundraising can never stop either.

This September, challenge yourself to walk the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles to be exact!) and be part of our community of walkers making a difference at the hospital with every step.

Whether you discover the great outdoors from your doorstep, start a ‘work from home’ walking commute, turn your garden into the expedition or climb Mount (stair)Case this is your walk, your way.

Whilst we walk on our own, together, we can still help our local hospital when it needs it most. Are you ready to go the extra mile?

Your walk, your way

My Walk of Life Marathon runs throughout September, so you can complete your challenge in any way over that time. The event is all about walking, but if you’d prefer to run, cycle or swim please do! Just make sure you cross the virtual finish line by 30th September. Anyone can take part, please see event T&C’s for more information.

The health and safety of you, your family and friends is the most important thing right now. When you take part in the challenge, please make sure you adhere to Government and NHS guidelines around social distancing. Check here for the latest information on the UK Government website.

…and remember, whilst you do this on your own, you won’t be alone! All walkers will be invited to join our Facebook Group so that you can share your amazing pictures and videos and see what everyone else is getting up to. Don’t forget to use #MyWalkOfLife
